Jerseys & Equipment Info
- All players will require matching jerseys with unique numbers on the back (we can provide information for jerseys if needed). All jerseys MUST be the same colour and have a pressed number on the back. Players using tape to alter or make a number will not be allowed to play.
- In the event of a conflict of team colours, the visiting team will have to wear alternate jerseys. A 2 minute delay of game penalty will be issued to the away team if they are unable to resolve the jersey conflict.
- The following gear is mandatory: CSA approved helmet, shin and elbow pads, protective cup, hockey pants (ice or roller hockey) and gloves Equipment Tips
- If a goaltender chooses to use a non-CSA approved cage, the player will waive the league responsibility for any injury incurred.
- Face shields or visors are strongly recommended for all divisions of play. In order to qualify for facial injury or dental reimbursement under the League’s national sport accident insurance policy, Players will be required to wear a CSA approved full face shield OR a CSA approved half visor AND mouth guard combination. Players who do not meet these facial protection requirements will forfeit their right to reimbursement for any facial injury or loss (including dental).
- Goaltenders are encouraged to wear a CSA approved neck guard in all league games.
- Mouth guards are strongly recommended for all players
- If a player loses a piece of equipment, they must put it on immediately or return to the bench before making a play. If they don’t they will receive a minor penalty for illegal equipment.
